Back in 2010

First of all: Happy New Year! Best wishes to the readers of my blog for 2010!
I’ve been away quite a while from my drawing board, but before christmas there was other stuff to do. So today, while a cold and icy winter is freezing Germany I did some drawing in ink and coloured it with photoshop. I gave the man some kind of magic amulet (and some fragments of Santa Claus, too). So make a good wish for the year!

My Name Is Ariel

While a nice portrait of Santa Claus – for sure, a rather grim, muscled one! – is waiting to get his final photoshop colors, I took some time to do some stuff with good old fashioned ink and a real brush (not a pixel computer brush). One of the 3 pieces of that “ink session” last night inspired by the character of Ariel from Shakespeares “The Tempest” fits here on my mencomix-Blog, I guess …
